His expertise include almost a decade working at Qantas Airways where he held various positions in Sales & Marketing, with his prime role to maintain and develop the Group Travel, Sport and Entertainment Markets within Australia.
Post working at Qantas, Nick has held senior management roles within several large Travel Management Companies specialising in Corporate, Sport and Entertainment Travel in Australia, United Kingdom, USA and South Africa.
Kevin Maloney – Co-Founder & Director
Kevin is the co-founder and Director of Locale Travel and brings a wealth of experience from the resources and finance industries.
Previously, Kevin was the founder and Executive Chairman of The MAC Services Group (The MAC). Kevin was heavily involved in all stages of The MAC’s growth, including its move into mining services accommodation in 1996 until it was sold in 2010.
Kevin has had an extensive career in retail banking, finance, and resources. Kevin joined Elders Resources Finance Limited in 1981 after spending 20 years with the ANZ Bank. During his time at Elders Resources Kevin held numerous positions including Chief Executive Officer.
Kevin previously was involved with a number of public companies as an executive and a director. Outside of his professional interests, Kevin has travelled extensively, enjoys rugby, thoroughbred racing and spending time with his family.
DAN HOFF - DIRECTOR OF IT
Dan has a 30 year history of leading IT teams and projects in the travel industry in Australia, Singapore and Europe. With a strong delivery background, Dan focuses on creating the most efficient workflows with a priority on ROI for clients. He holds an Honours Degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and is an MIT Professional Education Alumni.
Dan has worked for large multinational IT firms and specialises in the design, implementation and support of travel software systems. He has applied these skills in both large and smaller size organistations - fulfilling senior IT management roles in travel organisations in Australia, Singapore and Europe.
Alastair Smith - Director of Sales, Australia
Alastair has over a decade of experience in Senior Sales & Account Management Roles.
With a diverse business development background that spans across the construction, telecommunications, travel and media his greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership.
He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. He has a strong focus on outcomes, delivering value through a structured and pragmatic approach to strategically grow businesses within challenging and changing marketplaces.
Outside of his professional endeavours he is an avid surfer, musician and outdoorsman.
Cathy Valentine - Director of Finance
Cathy is a member of Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand and graduate of Macquarie University, with over 15 years corporate experience.
She has held senior finance roles within a wide range of industries; including Telecommunications, Private Equity, Retail, Property Development, Resources Technology Advisory, Travel & Fitness.
Cathy’s experience has ensured that Locale has implemented robust financial management processes and controls. She is actively developing and refining processes to assist all stakeholders and to position the company for future growth.
